The sixth word of verse (24:31) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person feminine plural and is in the jussive mood (مجزوم). The verb's triliteral root is ḥā fā ẓā (ح ف ظ). The suffix (النون) is an attached subject pronoun.
