The second word of verse (3:20) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The form III perfect verb (فعل ماض) is third person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is ḥā jīm jīm (ح ج ج). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is second person masculine singular.
