The first word of verse (28:66) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A resumption particle and verb. The connective particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The perfect verb (فعل ماض) is third person feminine singular. The verb's triliteral root is ʿayn mīm yā (ع م ي).
