The fifth word of verse (3:53) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The form VIII perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is tā bā ʿayn (ت ب ع). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun.
