The eighth word of verse (3:80) is divided into 3 morphological segments. An interrogative alif, verb and object pronoun. The prefixed alif is an interrogative particle used to form a question and is usually translated as "is", "are", or "do". The imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person masculine singular and is in the indicative mood (مرفوع). The verb's triliteral root is hamza mīm rā (أ م ر). The attached object pronoun is second person masculine plural.
