The first word of verse (37:96) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A circumstantial particle and proper noun. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "while" and is used to indicate the circumstance of events. The proper noun is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The proper noun's triliteral root is hamza lām hā (أ ل ه).
