The fourth word of verse (37:149) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A circumstantial particle, preposition and personal pronoun. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "while" and is used to indicate the circumstance of events. The prefixed preposition lām is usually translated as "for". The personal pronoun is third person masculine plural. Together the segments form a preposition phrase known as jār wa majrūr (جار ومجرور).
