The first word of verse (38:52) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, location adverb and possessive pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The location adverb is in the accusative case (منصوب). The location adverb's triliteral root is ʿayn nūn dāl (ع ن د). The attached possessive pronoun is third person masculine plural.
