The twelfth word of verse (3:142) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A comitative particle and verb. The comitative usage of wāw (واو المعية) precedes a comitative object (مفعول معه), and is considered to be equiavelent to "with" (مع). The imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person masculine singular and is in the subjunctive mood (منصوب). The verb's triliteral root is ʿayn lām mīm (ع ل م).
