The sixth word of verse (46:17) is divided into 4 morphological segments. An interrogative alif, verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The prefixed alif is an interrogative particle used to form a question and is usually translated as "is", "are", or "do". The imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person feminine dual and is in the indicative mood (مرفوع). The verb's triliteral root is wāw ʿayn dāl (و ع د). The suffix (الألف) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is first person singular.
