The eleventh word of verse (4:9) is divided into 4 morphological segments. A resumption particle, imperative particle, verb and subject pronoun. The connective particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The prefixed particle lām is usually translated as "let" and is used to form an imperative construction. The form VIII imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person masculine plural and is in the jussive mood (مجزوم). The verb's triliteral root is wāw qāf yā (و ق ي). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun.
