The second word of verse (4:16) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person masculine dual and is in the indicative mood (مرفوع). The verb's triliteral root is hamza tā yā (أ ت ي). The suffix (الألف) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is third person feminine singular.
