The first word of verse (4:24) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A conjunction and passive participle. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The form IV passive participle is feminine plural and is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The passive participle's triliteral root is ḥā ṣād nūn (ح ص ن).
