The 29th word of verse (4:24) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A resumption particle and negative particle. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The negative particle acts like the particle anna (أن). This particle belongs to a special group of words known as inna and her sisters (ان واخواتها).
