The third word of verse (69:6) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A resumption particle, verb and subject pronoun. The connective particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The passive form IV perfect verb (فعل ماض) is third person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is hā lām kāf (ه ل ك). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun.
