The 23rd word of verse (4:102) is divided into 4 morphological segments. A conjunction, imperative particle, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction fa is usually translated as "and". The prefixed particle lām is usually translated as "let" and is used to form an imperative construction. The form II imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person masculine plural and is in the jussive mood (مجزوم). The verb's triliteral root is ṣād lām wāw (ص ل و). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun.
