The first word of verse (4:106) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A resumption particle and verb. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The form X imperative verb (فعل أمر) is second person masculine singular. The verb's triliteral root is ghayn fā rā (غ ف ر).
