The sixth word of verse (4:113) is divided into 2 morphological segments. An emphatic prefix and verb. The prefixed particle lām is usually translated as "surely" or "indeed" and is used to add emphasis. The perfect verb (فعل ماض) is third person feminine singular. The verb's triliteral root is hā mīm mīm (ه م م).
