The second word of verse (96:3) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A resumption particle, noun and possessive pronoun. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The noun is masculine and is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The noun's triliteral root is rā bā bā (ر ب ب). The attached possessive pronoun is second person masculine singular.
