The fifth word of verse (5:5) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A resumption particle and noun. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The noun is masculine and is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The noun's triliteral root is ṭā ʿayn mīm (ط ع م).
