The first word of verse (5:21) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A vocative particle, noun and possessive pronoun. The noun is masculine and is in the accusative case (منصوب). The noun's triliteral root is qāf wāw mīm (ق و م). The yā of the first person singular possessive pronoun has been omitted due to elision (الياء محذوفة), and is indicated by the kasrah.
