The fourteenth word of verse (5:31) is divided into 3 morphological segments. An interrogative alif, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed alif is an interrogative particle used to form a question and is usually translated as "is", "are", or "do". The perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person singular. The verb's triliteral root is ʿayn jīm zāy (ع ج ز). The suffix (التاء) is an attached subject pronoun.
