The 21st word of verse (2:68) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A resumption particle, verb and subject pronoun. The connective particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The imperative verb (فعل أمر) is second person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is fā ʿayn lām (ف ع ل). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun.
