The second word of verse (6:14) is divided into 2 morphological segments. An interrogative alif and noun. The prefixed alif is an interrogative particle used to form a question and is usually translated as "is", "are", or "do". The noun is masculine and is in the accusative case (منصوب). The noun's triliteral root is ghayn yā rā (غ ي ر).
