The first word of verse (6:22) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A resumption particle and time adverb. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The time adverb is masculine and is in the accusative case (منصوب). The time adverb's triliteral root is yā wāw mīm (ي و م).
