The fifth word of verse (6:36) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A resumption particle and noun. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The noun is plural and is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The noun's triliteral root is mīm wāw tā (م و ت).
