The eighth word of verse (6:144) is divided into 2 morphological segments. An interrogative alif and noun. The prefixed alif is an interrogative particle used to form a question and is usually translated as "is", "are", or "do". The noun is masculine dual and is in the accusative case (منصوب). The noun's triliteral root is dhāl kāf rā (ذ ك ر).
