ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُواْ دِينَهُمۡ لَهۡوٗا وَلَعِبٗا وَغَرَّتۡهُمُ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡيَاۚ فَٱلۡيَوۡمَ نَنسَىٰهُمۡ كَمَا نَسُواْ لِقَآءَ يَوۡمِهِمۡ هَٰذَا وَمَا كَانُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَجۡحَدُونَ ٥١

Fathul Majid:

যারা তাদের দীনকে ক্রীড়া-কৌতুকরূপে গ্রহণ করেছিল এবং পার্থিব জীবন যাদেরকে প্রতারিত করেছিল।’ সুতরাং আজ আমি তাদেরকে ভুলে যাব, যেভাবে তারা তাদের এই দিনের সাক্ষাতকে ভুলে গিয়েছিল এবং যেভাবে তারা আমার নিদর্শনকে অস্বীকার করেছিল।

Dr. Abu Bakr Muhammad Zakaria:

‘যারা তাদের দীনকে খেল-তামাশারূপে গ্রহণ করেছিল। আর দুনিয়ার জীবন যাদেরকে প্রতারিত করেছিল। কাজেই আজ আমরা তাদেরকে (জাহান্নামে) ছেড়ে রাখব, যেমনিভাবে তারা তাদের এ দিনের সাক্ষাতের জন্য কাজ করা ছেড়ে দিয়েছিল¹, আর (যেমন) তারা আমাদের আয়াতসমূহ অস্বীকার করেছিল।
