Text Uthmani:

وَجَآءَتۡ سَيَّارَةٞ فَأَرۡسَلُواْ وَارِدَهُمۡ فَأَدۡلَىٰ دَلۡوَهُۥۖ قَالَ يَٰبُشۡرَىٰ هَٰذَا غُلَٰمٞۚ وَأَسَرُّوهُ بِضَٰعَةٗۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمُۢ بِمَا يَعۡمَلُونَ ١٩

French Translation(Muhammad Hamidullah):

Or, vint une caravane. Ils envoyèrent leur chercheur d’eau, qui fit descendre son seau. Il dit : “Ô Bonne nouvelle! Voilà un garçon ! ” Et ils le dissimulèrent [pour le vendre] telle une marchandise. Allah cependant savait fort bien ce qu’ils faisaient.

Rashid Maash:

Une caravane fit halte à proximité du puits et envoya un homme tirer de l’eau. Après avoir jeté son seau¹, l’homme dit : « Heureuse trouvaille ! Un jeune garçon ! » Ils dissimulèrent leur découverte, résolus à le vendre comme une vulgaire marchandise. Mais Allah savait parfaitement ce qu’ils faisaient.

11	وَأَسَرُّوهُ	And they hid him	Et ils l’ont caché
12	بِضَٰعَةٗۚ	(as) a merchandise	(en tant que) marchandise.
13	وَٱللَّهُ	And Allah	Et Allâh
14	عَلِيمُۢ	(is) All-Knower	(est) parfaitement savant
15	بِمَا	of what	de ce qu’
16	يَعۡمَلُونَ	they do	ils faisaient.
