وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمۡ ءَامِنُواْ كَمَآ ءَامَنَ ٱلنَّاسُ قَالُوٓاْ أَنُؤۡمِنُ كَمَآ ءَامَنَ ٱلسُّفَهَآءُۗ أَلَآ إِنَّهُمۡ هُمُ ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ وَلَٰكِن لَّا يَعۡلَمُونَ ١٣

Tafheem e Qur'an - Syed Abu Ali Maududi:

اور جب ان سے کہا گیا کہ جس طرح دوسرے لوگ ایمان لائے ہیں اُسی طرح تم بھی ایمان¹لاوٴ تو انہوں نے یہی جواب دیا کیا ہم بیوقوفوں کی طرح ایمان²لائیں؟ خبردار ! حقیقت میں تو یہ خود بیوقوف ہیں،مگر یہ جانتے نہیں ہیں

Maulana Muhammad Junagarhi:

اور جب ان سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ اور لوگوں (یعنی صحابہ) کی طرح تم بھی ایمان لاؤ تو جواب دیتے ہیں کہ کیا ہم ایسا ایمان لائیں جیسا بیوقوف لائے ہیں¹ ، خبردار ہوجاؤ! یقیناً یہی بیوقوف ہیں، لیکن جانتے نہیں۔²
