وَقَوۡمَ نُوحٖ لَّمَّا كَذَّبُواْ ٱلرُّسُلَ أَغۡرَقۡنَٰهُمۡ وَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ لِلنَّاسِ ءَايَةٗۖ وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمٗا ٣٧

Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran:

And when the people of Noah rejected the messengers,¹ We drowned them, making them an example to humanity. And We have prepared a painful punishment for the wrongdoers.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali & Muhammad Muhsin Khan:

And Nûh’s (Noah) people, when they denied the Messengers, We drowned them, and We made them as a sign for mankind. And We have prepared a painful torment for the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers).
