إِن كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنۡ ءَالِهَتِنَا لَوۡلَآ أَن صَبَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهَاۚ وَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ حِينَ يَرَوۡنَ ٱلۡعَذَابَ مَنۡ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا ٤٢

Tafheem e Qur'an - Syed Abu Ali Maududi:

اِس نے تو ہمیں گمراہ کر کے اپنے معبُودوں سے برگشتہ ہی کر دیا ہوتا اگر ہم اُن کی عقیدت پر جم نہ گئے ہوتے¹۔“ اچھا، وہ وقت دُور نہیں ہے جب عذاب دیکھ کر اِنہیں خود معلوم ہو جائے گا کہ کون گمراہی میں دُور نکل گیا تھا

Maulana Muhammad Junagarhi:

(وه تو کہیئے) کہ ہم اس پر جمے رہے ورنہ انہوں نے تو ہمیں ہمارے معبودوں سے بہکادینے میں کوئی کسر نہیں چھوڑی تھی¹ ۔ اور یہ جب عذابوں کو دیکھیں گے تو انہیں صاف معلوم ہوجائے گا کہ پوری طرح راه سے بھٹکا ہوا کون تھا؟²
