أَئِنَّكُمۡ لَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلرِّجَالَ وَتَقۡطَعُونَ ٱلسَّبِيلَ وَتَأۡتُونَ فِي نَادِيكُمُ ٱلۡمُنكَرَۖ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوۡمِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُواْ ٱئۡتِنَا بِعَذَابِ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ ٢٩

Fathul Majid:

তোমরাই তো পুরুষে উপগত হচ্ছ, তোমরাই তো রাহাজানি করে থাক এবং তোমরাই তো নিজেদের মজলিসে প্রকাশ্যে ঘৃণ্য কর্ম করে থাক।’ উত্তরে তার সম্প্রদায় শুধু এ কথাই বলল যে, ‘আমাদের ওপর আল্লাহর শাস্তি আনয়ন কর যদি তুমি সত্যবাদী হও।’

Dr. Abu Bakr Muhammad Zakaria:

‘তোমরাই তো পুরুষে উপগত হচ্ছ, তোমরাই তো রাহাজানি করে থাক এবং তোমরাই তো নিজেদের মজলিশে প্রকাশ্যে ঘৃণ্য কাজ করে থাক¹ ।’ উত্তরে তার সম্প্রদায় শুধু এটাই বলল, ‘আমাদের উপর আল্লাহ্‌র শাস্তি আনয়ন কর---তুমি যদি সত্যবাদীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে থাক।’
