قَالُواْ رَبَّنَآ أَمَتَّنَا ٱثۡنَتَيۡنِ وَأَحۡيَيۡتَنَا ٱثۡنَتَيۡنِ فَٱعۡتَرَفۡنَا بِذُنُوبِنَا فَهَلۡ إِلَىٰ خُرُوجٖ مِّن سَبِيلٖ ١١

Abdul Hameed Baqavi:

அதற்கவர்கள், ‘‘எங்கள் இறைவனே! இருமுறை நீ எங்களை மரணிக்கச் செய்தாய்; இருமுறை நீ எங்களுக்கு உயிர் கொடுத்தாய். நாங்கள் எங்கள் குற்றங்களை ஒப்புக்கொண்டு விண்ணப்பம் செய்கிறோம். ஆகவே, (இதில் இருந்து நாங்கள்) வெளிப்பட ஏதும் வழி உண்டா?'' என்று கேட்பார்கள்.

அவர்கள் கூறுவார்கள்: எங்கள் இறைவா! நீ எங்களுக்கு இருமுறை மரணத்தைக் கொடுத்தாய். இருமுறை எங்களுக்கு வாழ்க்கையைக் கொடுத்தாய். எங்கள் பாவங்களை நாங்கள் ஒப்புக்கொண்டோம். (நரகத்தில் இருந்து) வெளியேறுவதற்கு ஏதேனும் வழி உண்டா?
