يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِن تُطِيعُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يَرُدُّوكُمۡ عَلَىٰٓ أَعۡقَٰبِكُمۡ فَتَنقَلِبُواْ خَٰسِرِينَ ١٤٩

Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran:

O believers! If you yield to the disbelievers, they will drag you back to disbelief—and you will become losers.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali & Muhammad Muhsin Khan:

O you who believe! If you obey those who disbelieve, they will send you back on your heels, and you will turn back (from Faith) as losers.¹
