1 وَإِنۡ And if އަދި ކަލޭމެން ބިރުވެތިވަންޏާ.
2 خِفۡتُمۡ you fear *
3 أَلَّا that not يَتِيم ކުދިންނަށް عدل ވެރިނުވެވޭނެކަމާމެދު.
4 تُقۡسِطُواْ you will be able to do justice *
5 فِي with *
6 ٱلۡيَتَٰمَىٰ the orphans *
7 فَٱنكِحُواْ then marry ކަލޭމެން ހިތައިވާ (ރުހޭ) މީހުންނާ އިންނާށެވެ!

11 مِّنَ from އަންހެނުންގެތެރެއިން.
12 ٱلنِّسَآءِ the women *
13 مَثۡنَىٰ two ދެމީހުނާ. އަދި ތިންމީހުނާ. އަދި ހަތަރުމީހުނާ.
14 وَثُلَٰثَ or three *
15 وَرُبَٰعَۖ or four *
16 فَإِنۡ But if އަދި ކަލޭމެން ބިރުވެތިވަންޏާ.
17 خِفۡتُمۡ you fear *
18 أَلَّا that not ކަލޭމެނަށް عدل ވެރިނުވެވޭނެކަމަށް.
19 تَعۡدِلُواْ you can do justice *
20 فَوَٰحِدَةً then (marry) one ފަހެ އެކަކާ އެވެ. (އިންނާށެވެ.)
21 أَوۡ or ނުވަތަ ކަލޭމެންގެ ކަނައަތްތައް މިލްކުކުރި އެއްޗަކާ (އެބަހީ އަޅުއަންހެނުންނާ).
22 مَا what *
23 مَلَكَتۡ possesses *
24 أَيۡمَٰنُكُمۡۚ your right hand *
25 ذَٰلِكَ That އެގޮތް ކުޑަވެގެންވެއެވެ. / ގާތްވެގެންވެއެވެ.
26 أَدۡنَىٰٓ (is) more appropriate *
27 أَلَّا that (may) not (އަނިޔާވެރިނުވުމުގެ ފަރާތަށް) ނުލެނބުން.
28 تَعُولُواْ you oppress *
