وَإِذَا حَضَرَ ٱلۡقِسۡمَةَ أُوْلُواْ ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ وَٱلۡيَتَٰمَىٰ وَٱلۡمَسَٰكِينُ فَٱرۡزُقُوهُم مِّنۡهُ وَقُولُواْ لَهُمۡ قَوۡلٗا مَّعۡرُوفٗا ٨

Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran:

If ˹non-inheriting˺ relatives, orphans,¹ or the needy are present at the time of distribution, offer them a ˹small˺ provision from it and speak to them kindly.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali & Muhammad Muhsin Khan:

And when the relatives and the orphans and Al-Masâkîn (the poor) are present at the time of division, give them out of the property, and speak to them words of kindness and justice.
