وَلَئِنۡ أَصَٰبَكُمۡ فَضۡلٞ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ لَيَقُولَنَّ كَأَن لَّمۡ تَكُنۢ بَيۡنَكُمۡ وَبَيۡنَهُۥ مَوَدَّةٞ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي كُنتُ مَعَهُمۡ فَأَفُوزَ فَوۡزًا عَظِيمٗا ٧٣

Tafheem e Qur'an - Syed Abu Ali Maududi:

اور اگر اللہ کی طرف سے تم پر فضل ہو تو کہتا ہے اور اس طرح کہتا ہے کہ گویا تمہارے اور اس کے درمیان محبت کا تو کوئی تعلق تھا ہی نہیں کہ کاش میں بھی ان کے ساتھ ہوتا تو بڑا کام بن جاتا

Maulana Muhammad Junagarhi:

اور اگر تمہیں اللہ تعالیٰ کا کوئی فضل¹ مل جائے تو اس طرح کہ گویا تم میں ان میں دوستی تھی ہی نہیں²، کہتے ہیں کاش! میں بھی ان کے ہمراه ہوتا تو بڑی کامیابی کو پہنچتا۔³
