فَبَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ غُرَابٗا يَبۡحَثُ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ لِيُرِيَهُۥ كَيۡفَ يُوَٰرِي سَوۡءَةَ أَخِيهِۚ قَالَ يَٰوَيۡلَتَىٰٓ أَعَجَزۡتُ أَنۡ أَكُونَ مِثۡلَ هَٰذَا ٱلۡغُرَابِ فَأُوَٰرِيَ سَوۡءَةَ أَخِيۖ فَأَصۡبَحَ مِنَ ٱلنَّٰدِمِينَ ٣١

French Translation(Muhammad Hamidullah):

Puis Allah envoya un corbeau qui se mit à gratter la terre pour lui montrer comment ensevelir le cadavre de son frère. Il dit : "Malheur à moi! Suis-je incapable d’être, comme ce corbeau, à même d’ensevelir le cadavre de mon frère ?" Il devint alors du nombre de ceux que ronge le remords.

Rashid Maash:

Allah envoya alors un corbeau qui, en grattant la terre¹, lui montra comment enfouir le cadavre de son frère. Il s’exclama : « Malheur à moi ! Ne suis-je donc pas capable, à l’image de ce corbeau, d’ensevelir la dépouille de mon frère ? » Il fut donc en proie aux remords.
