1 وَكَتَبۡنَا And We ordained އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެމީހުންގެމައްޗަށް ލިއުއްވީމެވެ. فرض ކުރެއްވީމެވެ.
2 عَلَيۡهِمۡ for them *
3 فِيهَآ in it އޭގައި / توراة ގައި. (قصاص ވެއެވެ.)
4 أَنَّ that ހަމަކަށަވަރުން نفس އަކަށް نفس އެއް (އެބަހީ قصد ގައި އެއްވެސް ސަބަބެއްނެތި މީހަކު މަރައިފިނަމަ އެމަރުވި نفس ގެ ބަދަލުގައި އޭނާ މެރިމީހާ މެރުން).
5 ٱلنَّفۡسَ the life *
6 بِٱلنَّفۡسِ for the life *
7 وَٱلۡعَيۡنَ and the eye ލޮލަކަށް ލޮލެއް.
8 بِٱلۡعَيۡنِ for the eye *
9 وَٱلۡأَنفَ and the nose އަދި ނޭފަތަކަށް ނޭފަތެއް.
10 بِٱلۡأَنفِ for the nose *
11 وَٱلۡأُذُنَ and the ear އަދި ކަންފަތަކަށް ކަންފަތެއް.
12 بِٱلۡأُذُنِ for the ear *
13 وَٱلسِّنَّ and the tooth އަދި ދަތަކަށް ދަތެއް.
14 بِٱلسِّنِّ for the tooth *
15 وَٱلۡجُرُوحَ and (for) wounds އަދި زَخَمُ ތަކަށްވެސް قِصَاص ވެއެވެ.
16 قِصَاصٞۚ (is) retribution *
17 فَمَن But whoever ފަހެ އެއިން صَدَقَاة ކޮށްފި މީހާ ދަންނައެވެ. (އެބަހީ އެއަނިޔާއެއްކުރި މީހާއަށް އަނިޔާލިބެވުނުމީހާ عفو ކޮށްފިއްޔާ).
18 تَصَدَّقَ gives charity *
19 بِهِۦ with it *
20 فَهُوَ then it is ފަހެ އެއީ އޭނާއަށް (އެބަހީ عفو ކުރިމީހާއަށް) ވާ كفّارة އެކެވެ.
21 كَفَّارَةٞ an expiation *
22 لَّهُۥۚ for him *
23 وَمَن And whoever އަދި حكم ނުކޮށްފިމީހުން.
24 لَّمۡ (does) not *
25 يَحۡكُم judge *
26 بِمَآ by what ﷲ ބާވައިލެއްވި حكم ން.
27 أَنزَلَ has revealed *
28 ٱللَّهُ Allah *
29 فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ then those ފަހެ އެމީހުން (ދަންނައެވެ!)
30 هُمُ [they] އެއީ ކަނޑައެޅިގެން އަނިޔާވެރިންނެވެ. (مشرك ންނެވެ.)
31 ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ (are) the wrongdoers *
32 ٤٥ (45) Missing translation
