فَمَن يُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ أَن يَهۡدِيَهُۥ يَشۡرَحۡ صَدۡرَهُۥ لِلۡإِسۡلَٰمِۖ وَمَن يُرِدۡ أَن يُضِلَّهُۥ يَجۡعَلۡ صَدۡرَهُۥ ضَيِّقًا حَرَجٗا كَأَنَّمَا يَصَّعَّدُ فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَجۡعَلُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلرِّجۡسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ ١٢٥

French Translation(Muhammad Hamidullah):

Et puis, quiconque Allah veut guider, Il lui ouvre la poitrine à l’islam . Et quiconque Il veut égarer, Il rend sa poitrine étroite et gênée, comme s’il s’efforçait de monter au ciel. Ainsi Allah inflige Sa punition à ceux qui ne croient pas.¹

Rashid Maash:

Allah ouvre à l’islam le cœur de celui qu’Il entend guider. Quant à celui qu’Il entend égarer, Il rend son cœur serré et oppressé¹, comme si ce dernier tentait de monter au ciel. C’est ainsi qu’Allah livre aux tourments² ceux qui rejettent la foi.
