فَوَسۡوَسَ لَهُمَا ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ لِيُبۡدِيَ لَهُمَا مَا وُۥرِيَ عَنۡهُمَا مِن سَوۡءَٰتِهِمَا وَقَالَ مَا نَهَىٰكُمَا رَبُّكُمَا عَنۡ هَٰذِهِ ٱلشَّجَرَةِ إِلَّآ أَن تَكُونَا مَلَكَيۡنِ أَوۡ تَكُونَا مِنَ ٱلۡخَٰلِدِينَ ٢٠

Fathul Majid:

অতঃপর তাদের লজ্জাস্থান, যা তাদের কাছে গোপন রাখা হয়েছিল তা তাদের কাছে প্রকাশ করার জন্য শয়তান তাদেরকে কুমন্ত্রণা দিল এবং বলল: ‘তোমরা উভয়ে ফেরেশতা হয়ে যাও অথবা তোমরা স্থায়ী হও এজন্যই তোমাদের প্রতিপালক এ বৃক্ষ সম্বন্ধে তোমাদেরকে নিষেধ করেছেন।’

তারপর তাদের লজ্জাস্থান, যা তাদের কাছে গোপন রাখা হয়েছিল তা তাদের কাছে প্রকাশ করার জন্য শয়তান তাদেরকে কুমন্ত্রণা দিল এবং বলল, ‘পাছে তোমরা উভয় ফিরিশ্‌তা হয়ে যাও কিংবা তোমরা স্থায়ীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হও, এ জন্যেই তোমাদের রব এ গাছ থেকে তোমাদেরকে নিষেধ করেছেন।’
