وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ مِنْ عَذابِ رَبِّهِمْ مُشْفِقُونَ أى: أن من صفاتهم: أنهم مع قوة إيمانهم، وكثرة أعمالهم الصالحة، لا يجزمون بنجاتهم من عذاب الله- تعالى- وإنما دائما أحوالهم مبنية على الخوف والرجاء، إذ الإشفاق توقع حصول المكروه وأخذ الحذر منه.
