Commentary explaining the meaning of the ayahs. One passage often covers several ayahs, so neighbouring ayahs can show the same text.
والمراد بقوله: عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمالِ: جميع الجهات، إلا أنه عبر بهاتين الجهتين، لأنهما الجهتان اللتان يغلب الجلوس فيهما حول الشخص.
وقوله: عِزِينَ تصوير بديع لالتفافهم من حوله جماعات متفرقة في مشاربها، وفي مآربها، وفي طباعها.
