وقوله- تعالى- بعد ذلك: عالِمُ الْغَيْبِ فَلا يُظْهِرُ عَلى غَيْبِهِ أَحَداً تعليل لما قبله.
أى: أنا لا أدرى متى يكون عذابكم- أيها الكافرون- لأن مرد علم ذلك إلى الله- تعالى- الذي هو عليم بكل شيء من الظواهر والبواطن، والذي اقتضت حكمته أن لا يطلع أحدا على غيوبه، وعلى ما استتر وخفى من أمور خلقه.
