وقوله - سبحانه - : ( النار ذَاتِ الوقود ) بدل اشتمال مما قبله وهو الأخدود .
والوقود : اسم لما توقد به النار كالحطب ونحوه . وذات الوقود : صفة للنار .
أى : قتل وطرد من رحمة الله أصحاب الأخدود ، الذين أشعلوا فيه النيران ذات اللهب الشديد ، لكى يلقوا المؤمنين فيها .
