آیت 6{ وَّالنَّجْمُ وَالشَّجَرُ یَسْجُدٰنِ۔ } ”اور ستارے اور درخت اللہ کو سجدہ کرتے ہیں۔“ نَجْم کے معروف معنی ستارے کے ہیں ‘ لیکن عربی میں یہ لفظ ایسے پودوں اور بیل بوٹوں کے لیے بھی بولا جاتا ہے جن کا تنا نہیں ہوتا۔ مثلاً جھاڑیاں اور خربوزے اور تربوز کی بیلیں وغیرہ۔ جس طرح لاتعداد ستارے آسمان پر بکھرے نظر آتے ہیں بالکل اسی طرح بیشمار جھاڑیاں اور بیل بوٹے زمین پر پھیلے دکھائی دیتے ہیں۔ چناچہ پچھلی آیت میں سورج اور چاند کے ذکر کی نسبت سے دیکھا جائے تو یہاں النَّجْم سے ستارے مراد ہوں گے ‘ لیکن اگلے لفظ الشَّجَرکے حوالے سے جھاڑیاں یا بیلیں کا ترجمہ بہتر معلوم ہوتا ہے۔
