66:6

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ قُوٓاْ أَنفُسَكُمۡ وَأَهۡلِيكُمۡ نَارٗا وَقُودُهَا ٱلنَّاسُ وَٱلۡحِجَارَةُ عَلَيۡهَا مَلَٰٓئِكَةٌ غِلَاظٞ شِدَادٞ لَّا يَعۡصُونَ ٱللَّهَ مَآ أَمَرَهُمۡ وَيَفۡعَلُونَ مَا يُؤۡمَرُونَ ٦

اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو، بچاوٴ اپنے آپ کو اور اپنے اہل و عیال کو اُس آگ سے جس کا ایندھن انسان اور پتھر ہوں گے،¹ جس پر نہایت تند خُو اور سخت گیر فرشتے مقرر ہوں گے جو کبھی اللہ کے حکم کی نافرمانی نہیں کرتے اور جو حکم انہیں دیا جاتا ہے اسے بجا لاتے ہیں²

[1] یہ آیت بتاتی ہے کہ ایک شخص کی ذمہ داری صرف اپنی ذات ہی کو خدا کے عذاب سے بچانے کی کوشش تک محدود نہیں ہے بلکہ اس کا کام یہ بھی ہے کہ نظامِ فطرت نے جس خاندان کی سربراہی کا بار اُس پر ڈالا ہے اس کو بھی وہ اپنی حدِ استطاعت تک ایسی تعلیم و تربیت دے جس سے وہ خدا کے پسندیدہ انسان بنیں ، اور اگر وہ جہنم کی راہ پر جارہے ہوں تو جہاں تک بھی اس کے بس میں ہو ان کو اس سے روکنے کی کوشش کرے۔ اُس کو صرف یہی فکر نہیں ہونی چاہیے کہ اس کے بال بچے دنیا میں خوشحال ہوں بلکہ اِس سے بھی بڑھ کر اسے یہ فکر ہونی چاہیے کہ وہ آخرت میں جہنم کا ایندھن نہ بنیں۔ بخاری میں حضرت عبد اللہ بن عمر ؓ کی روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ” تم میں سے ہر ایک راعی ہے اور ہر ایک اپنی رعیّت کے معاملہ میں جواب دہ ہے۔ حکمراں راعی ہے اور وہ اپنی رعیّت کے معاملہ میں جواب دہ ہے۔ مرد اپنے گھر والوں کا راعی ہے اور وہ ان کے بارے میں جواب دہ ہے ۔ اور عورت اپنے شوہر کے گھر اور بچوں کی راعی ہے اور وہ ان کے بارے میں جوابدہ ہے۔“ جہنم کا ایندھن پتھر ہونگے، اس سے مراد غالبًا پتھر کا کوئلہ ہے۔ ابن مسعود ؓ ، ابن عباس ؓ ، مجاہد ؒ ،امام محمد الباقر ؒ ، اور سُدِّی ؒ کہتے ہیں کہ یہ گندھک کے پتھر ہوں گے۔
[2] یعنی اُن کو جو سزا بھی کسی مجرم پر نافذ کرنے کا حکم دیا جائے گا اُسے جُوں کا تُوں نافذ کریں گے اور ذرا رحم نہ کھائیں گے۔

Translations are available in both JSON and SQLite database formats. Some translation has footnotes as well, footnotes are embedded in the translation text using sup HTML tag. To support a wide range of applications, including websites, mobile apps, and desktop tools, we provide multiple export formats for translations.

Available export formats:

1. Nested Array Structure

Translations are grouped by Surah. Each Surah is an array containing translations for each Ayah in order. This format export translations as simple text, no formatting, no footnotes.

2. Key-Value Structure

Each translation is stored with the Ayah reference (e.g. 1:1) as the key and the translated text as the value. This format also exports translations as simple text, no formatting, no footnotes etc.

Translations with Footnotes

Translations with footnotes are available in three more formats:

1. Footnotes as Tags Format

Footnotes are embedded using a <sup> tag with a foot_note attribute. Footnote contents are stored separately under f key.

2. Inline Footnote Format

Footnotes are inserted directly using double square brackets e.g([[this is footnote]])

3. Text Chunks Format

In chunks export format, text is divided into chunks. Each chunk could be a simple text or an object. Object can be either footnote or a formatting tag. This format is useful for applications can't directly render the HTML tags. Here is an example of Bridges` translation for Surah An-Nas , Ayah 6:
