তাদের দৃষ্টি অবনত হবে, হীনতা তাদেরকে আচ্ছন্ন করবে[১] অথচ যখন তারা সুস্থ ছিল, তখন তো তাদেরকে সিজদা করতে আহবান করা হত। [২]
[১] অর্থাৎ, তাদের অবস্থা হবে দুনিয়ার বিপরীত। দুনিয়াতে তো অহংকার ও ঔদ্ধত্যের কারণে তাদের গর্দান উঁচু হয়ে থাকত।
[২] অর্থাৎ, সুস্থ-সবল ও মোটা-তাজা ছিল। আল্লাহর ইবাদত সম্পাদনে কোন জিনিস তাদের জন্য বাধা ছিল না। কিন্তু পৃথিবীতে তারা আল্লাহর ইবাদত করা হতে দূরে থাকত। (আযান ও ইকামতের মাধ্যমে তাদেরকে নামাযের জন্য আহবান করা হত, কিন্তু সুস্থ-সবল থাকা সত্ত্বেও তারা নামাযে আসত না। বলা বাহুল্য, যারা ইহকালে নামাযের মাধ্যমে আল্লাহকে সিজদাহ করে না, তারা পরকালে তাঁকে স্বচক্ষে দেখেও সিজদাহ করতে সক্ষম হবে না। -সম্পাদক)

Tafsir text may include <html> tags for formatting such as <b>,
<i>, etc.

Tafsir content may span multiple ayahs. QUL exports both the tafsir text and the ayahs it applies to.
