ولَمّا كانَ الزَّنْجَبِيلُ عِنْدَنا شَجَرًا يَحْتاجُ في تَناوُلِهِ إلى عِلاجٍ، أبانَ أنَّهُ هُناكَ عَيْنٌ لا يَحْتاجُ في صَيْرُورَتِهِ زَنْجَبِيلًا إلى أنْ تُحِيلَهُ الأرْضُ بِتَخْمِيرِهِ فِيها حَتّى يَصِيرَ شَجَرًا لِيَتَحَوَّلَ عَنْ طَعْمِ الماءِ إلى طَعْمِ الزَّنْجَبِيلِ خَرْقًا لِلْعَوائِدِ (p-١٤٧)فَقالَ: ﴿عَيْنًا فِيها﴾ أيِ الجَنَّةِ يُمْزَجُ فِيها شَرابُهم كَما يُمْزَجُ بِالماءِ.
ولَمّا كانَ الزَّنْجَبِيلُ يَلْذَعُ الحَقَّ فَتَصْعُبُ إساغَتُهُ قالَ: ﴿تُسَمّى﴾ [أيْ -] لِسُهُولَةِ إساغَتِها ولَذَّةِ طَعْمِها وسُمُوِّ وصْفِها ﴿سَلْسَبِيلا﴾ والسَّلْسَبِيلُ والسَّلْسَلُ والسَّلْسالُ ما كانَ مِنَ الشَّرابِ غايَةً في السَّلاسَةِ، زِيدَتْ فِيهِ الباءُ دَلالَةً عَلى المُبالَغَةِ في هَذا المَعْنى، قالُوا: وشَرابُ الجَنَّةِ في بَرْدِ الكافُورِ وطَعْمِ الزَّنْجَبِيلِ ورِيحِ المِسْكِ مِن غَيْرِ لَذْعٍ.
